When do you need a morning routine

Now I know when you see the words morning routine, the first thing that came to your mind was Ashton hall but don’t worry. Apart from having a very complicated and long morning routine, Ashton’s routine is his own and we are in no position to judge him apart from when he smears the banana peel all over his face, But what do we know. A morning routine is something that needs to be developed by everyone and made a habit at some point. This has the power to impact your life in the most unexpected ways. Personally I wouldn’t say I have a morning routine since mine tends to vary on where exactly I am at the moment. From starting my day with lifting to staying in bed and checking through my phone, I have a bad morning routine that I wouldn’t want any of you to adopt. This is why I am here to encourage you to develop one so your day can be productive and give you the ability to make the best of it.

Why do you need a morning routine?

Before I start telling you why you should have a morning routine. What is a morning routine? This is simply defined as the specific set of activities that you do consistently after waking up. This means that you can’t specifically lack a morning routine but you can have a bad or good morning routine based on what exactly you do after waking up in the morning. I guess a night routine is one that is existent for a select few of people but how I end my day never really matters to me.

Now the internet has numerous benefits of having a morning routine that it will throw at you. I am personally going to mention the ones that tend to be noticeable, well to the average human who is not too keen about every single one of their body parts. But firstly. What do you think you can include in your morning routine? Well this is easy you can start with the good old prayer, do some stretching for about 10 to 20 minutes if you have the time. Personally I tend to workout for about an hour because I have the time. Then take a shower, have breakfast and now hope on your phone to check up on emails or work. The only reason I’d put checking the phone last is because some people tend to get hooked on it and lose track of time, this will cause your whole morning routine to go out of place and feel awkward. Like I said before you can add in anything into this routine as long as it’s beneficial and will help you have a smoother day overall.

Now when it comes to the length of the morning routine. I personally wouldn’t advise you to have a very long routine because you’ll probably get fed up with it midway and won’t want to do it again. It’s best to wake up early enough to complete your routine before your workday or other duties begin. Start simple and then add on more activities as you get used to it.

Now let’s get down into the benefits:

  • Increased productivity- this comes right out at the top for very many reasons. Having a morning can help you get a good grasp of all the things you need to do and start earlier than you normally would. It gives you more reason to get up and out of bed early to get done with specific tasks that you’d normally push for later in the day and do sluggishly.
  • Health benefits- now am not saying getting up early is particularly going to impact your health and make you healthier. For those who tend to do physical activity like jogging, yoga and lifting tend live a healthier lifestyle since they are energetic enough in the morning to do various activities that they’d be too lazy to do later on in the day.
  • Better sleep cycle and rest- this is only possible because of one major concept. You will tend to sleep earlier because you know you have stuff to do in the morning and you’ll always wake up on time not to be late. Continuously doing this makes you develop a better sleeping cycle that contributes a lot to overall health. Now this won’t happen instantly as you begin incorporating a morning routine in your day to day life but it will happen over time.
  • Better time management- this should be obvious to the average human being with about an IQ of 4 rats at this moment. You’re guaranteed to have better time management from waking up early and sleeping early. Though this can also be false in case you do not have discipline and tend to cheat on time to either get more sleep or delay on your morning activities.
  • Building discipline and consistency- no one ever said waking up early and going to bed early would be easy, not in this day and age. There is too much entertainment around you to keep you awake for days, but knowing you have work to do always helps give you some guilt so you can go sleep like a good kid. Now having a morning routine that is strict and beneficial to you will emphasize both these two aspects that rely on doing what you do because you have to boy because you want to.

Now those are the most noticeable benefits that you’ll get and see for yourself. Though there appears to be thousands more on the internet for reasons I cannot say. But the more you get your head wrapped around the benefits, the better you’ll be at executing a perfect mourning routine for yourself. Just remembered to make one that’s suited for you, mourning routines can’t be shared because of individual preferences but they can be altered to better suit every individual.

When do you need a morning routine?

Now there are many circumstances that will push you to have a mourning routine but this isn’t prevalent in many people’s lives. It’s more of a decision you have to make to better yourself and get out of those sluggish morning wake-ups and feeling weak and lazy in the morning. In case you are a busy person with work and many other duties, I would advise adopting a morning routine. In case you stay home for the whole day then it’s fine to continue with your normal day to day living.
